Why Charter Empire is the Ideal Choice for Thanksgiving Day Parade Transportation
On Thanksgiving morning, Central Park West, Columbus Circle, 6th Avenue from 59th to 34th Street, and the surrounding cross streets are closed to vehicles, and the streets around Herald Square stay closed well after the parade ends. Street parking is nonexistent and rideshare surge pricing is at its worst of the year.
Charter Empire solves this by providing organized group transportation using modern charter buses and large vehicles. Our experienced drivers know the parade closure map, stage at approved coach locations, and time the pickup so your group is not standing in the cold waiting for a ride home. From the suburbs to the curb and back, we handle the logistics for the whole day.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2026 Route and Timing
The 2026 parade begins at 8:30 AM on Thursday, November 26 at West 77th Street and Central Park West and ends at Herald Square around noon. Giant balloons, floats, marching bands, and performers travel 2.5 miles through the Upper West Side and Midtown Manhattan. The night before, the balloon inflation on the streets around the American Museum of Natural History draws its own crowd from noon to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 25, and many groups book transportation for both days.
Transportation Expertise for Parade Day in Manhattan
Charter Empire coordinates pickup and drop off locations that work with the NYPD closure map, so your group arrives early enough to claim a spot on Central Park West or 6th Avenue and stays together the whole morning. Our team plans the return around the dispersal area closures near Herald Square and Times Square, and can add a stop for Thanksgiving dinner, a Broadway matinee, or a night out in the city before heading home.
Airport and Hotel Transfers for Parade Weekend
Visitors flying in for Thanksgiving week arrive through JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark, all of which are busy and expensive to leave by taxi during the holiday. Charter Empire provides organized airport transportation for groups, with timely pickups, luggage handling, and direct transfers to hotels in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and New Jersey. On departure day we move your group back to the airport on a schedule that accounts for holiday weekend traffic.
Charter Bus Trips to the Parade from New Jersey, Long Island, Philadelphia, and Beyond
Many parade groups come in from outside the city for the day. Charter Empire offers comfortable charter bus transportation to Manhattan from New Jersey, Long Island, Westchester, Connecticut, Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington DC, with a pre dawn departure that gets your group to the route before the crowds. Spacious motor coaches with reclining seats, Wi-Fi, and restrooms make the early start easy, and a warm bus is waiting when the last float passes.
